The Department of Management studies was established in the year 1994 with an intake of 30 students. The AICTE has increased the number of students from 30 to 60 in the year 2002 onwards. At present there are 15 Faculty members having a rich experience in teaching, research and other extension activities. Some of the faculty members are acting as research guides to the M.Phil students of Algappa University and Madurai Kamaraju University and also presented papers in various international seminars held at Singapore, Australia, Srilanka, China, Malaysia etc. There is good number of publications from department in books and in international journals.

Presently the department is offering MBA Programme with 2 Sections and each section consisting of 60 students. The Department has introduced MHRM Programme in the year 2008 and BBM in the year 2010. The M.Com Programme has merged with the Management Studies Department in 2010.

Center for Management Research (CMR)

Department is extensively involved in continuous research and development activities. Two Professors from the Department are guiding research scholars doing their PhD and M.Phil from various Universities. At present 12 scholars are enrolled for doing PhD offered by Andhra University, Rayalaseema University, Nagarjuna University & JNTU-Kakinada. Faculty has also presented papers in various international seminars held at Singapore, Australia, Srilanka, China, Malaysia, Japan, Turkey. There are a good number of publications from department including books and papers published in various national and international journals.

• All the faculty members for their corresponding subjects do counseling for the students individually.
• Apart from this we have appointed one of the Faculty members as exclusive counselor for the students.
• Counseling session is conducted formally for all the students every month during the semester and also informal counseling as and when needed.
• Reports and feedback from the counseling is recorded and discussed with Head of the department.
• Head of the department will conduct a meeting within the department faculty members, based on the feedback from the counseling and possible corrective actions are taken.
• Further discussions on the issues which are beyond our limitations are discussed with the director in the students advisory committee meeting.

1. This is the first department in the college to get the Research center status from the Andhra University.

3. All the faculty members are pursuing Doctoral and Post Doctoral research in their respective specialization.
4. Secured 1st Prize for H R event in AMITY-2002 organized by Department of Commerce and Management Studies, Andhra University, Viskhapatnam.
5. In placements we stand second in the entire Andhra University Area.
